Insert links that relate exactly to your content. Be very strategic when placing links within your text. Use links to guide your readers to seek more information about subjects that strike their interest.
Visualize your site and links to be a path for enthusiasts to enter. You can use this same principle when you design your Ezine. You have to make it interesting and your site, or Ezine does not need to have answers, but it does need to capture their interest.
Give visitors what they seek, but remember that the actual retailer must close the sale. It is not up to affiliates to close the sale for retailers. A good site will have interesting information for visitors, but does not need to focus on the sales process. If you read the retailers site, and it doesn’t convince you to opt-in for a newsletter or buy, you might want to consider another program.
Affiliates supply information that focuses on a specific niche, and this is what most “web surfers” are looking for. Your information must be exactly related to the product. For example: If we want to generate commissions for a tropical bird food product, we want to avoid posting information about pet food. Pet food is a large industry and too general of a term, in comparison to tropical bird food.
